Ever since I was a boy, I used to sit and watch birds fly outside my window. One day, a documentary was playing on my TV about the Indian Air Force. If I remember correctly, it was MIG 29, and it zoomed past the screen in a fraction of a second. My curiosity had been piqued – How could an airplane fly so fast? What is powering them? What was it made out of? Now that I look back, that was probably the first time the blades in my mind had turned. That moment made me realize that I was #borntoengineer.

I followed my passion and joined an engineering college. Out of all the other innovations, gas turbines fascinated me. It is such an engineering marvel. A complex machine within a small space generating 10000Lb of thrust. The fascination continued and I joined an engineering company which gave me the opportunity to work on one of the most prestigious Aircraft Engine manufacturers. It’s been an amazing journey for me. From the 2D pictures I had studied in college to the current day and age where I work in understanding and accessing the performance of various real aircraft engines.
